The Ultimate Duck diet is a complete blend. You will find the right amount of muscle meat, bone, organs, tripe and no filler. The Ultimate mixes follow the PMR (prey model raw) guidelines. Carnivores require more than just meat in a proper raw diet. The right amount of bone, and secreting organ is just as crucial as the muscle meat is in a raw diet. Not all organs are secreting organs. The Ultimate Duck has the right amount of liver and kidney to make sure your carnivore is getting the right amounts of vitamins they require for optimal health. The Ultimate Duck also has 10% of green tripe. Tripe is full of nutrition and also helps even the pickiest eaters love their food. Tripe has manganese, zinc, copper, potassium and iron, all of which are necessary for carnivores. Another benefit of green tripe is digestive enzymes, probiotics and prebiotics. You will also find essential fatty acids like omega 3 & 6, and amino acids in green tripe. Generally, Ultimate Duck is a good place to start when transitioning to a raw diet if you are looking for HIGHER fat, or dealing with a sensitivity to chicken or turkey.
We always recommend rotating proteins as your budget and dogs preferences allow. Although we believe raw is always best, it is not advisable to feed only one protein source for an indefinite period of time. There are many different nutrients and minerals in all different proteins. Feel free to reach out for more detailed recommendations for your pets needs.
Most carnivores need a source of omegas as well. Essential fatty acids (omegas) are necessary for brain health and development, reducing general inflammation, and also healthy skin and coat. Using a high quality supplement is just as easy. We recommend Safe Sea as our number one omega supplement.
